About DR Marcelle Moore
Dr Marcelle Moore is a Clinical Psychologist, award-winning children’s author, and trusted voice in modern parenting.
She is the creator of the Sitting in the Yuck™ framework, an attachment-based approach that helps parents stay steady and connected when emotions run high. Her work centres on what children need most in difficult moments - not fixing, but understanding - giving families practical, compassionate ways to navigate anxiety, big feelings, and everyday challenges.
Marcelle is the author of Even Lions Get Scared, a children’s book recognised for its powerful and relatable message, and co-author of How to Talk to Teens: A Connected Approach to Adolescents. Through her writing, speaking, and education work, she translates complex psychological concepts into clear, usable tools for real life.
Alongside her thought leadership work, Marcelle is the founder of Family Jigsaws in Bondi, where she has supported children and families for over two decades. This clinical experience continues to inform her approach, grounding her insights in real-world challenges and everyday family life.
Today, she is increasingly recognised as a leading voice in attachment-focused parenting, supporting parents, educators, and organisations to raise emotionally resilient, connected young people.
