About
Dr Marcelle Moore is a Clinical Psychologist, award-winning author, and speaker with over two decades of experience supporting children, teens, and families through the emotional complexity of everyday life.
She is the creator of the Sitting in the Yuck™ framework, an attachment-based approach that helps parents stay steady and connected when emotions run high. At its heart, Sitting in the Yuck™ represents a shift in perspective: from fixing to understanding, from rescuing to relating. It offers practical, compassionate ways for families to move through anxiety, big feelings, and challenging moments together.
Her award-winning children’s book, Even Lions Get Scared, has been widely recognised for its powerful and deeply relatable message about moving through fear towards courage. She is also a contributing author to the upcoming release Raising Teens Who Talk to You: A Connected Approach to Adolescence, launching May 2026. Across her writing, speaking, and education work, complex psychological concepts are translated into clear, usable tools for real family life.
Marcelle is the founder of Family Jigsaws in Bondi, where ongoing clinical work with children and families continues to inform and ground her approach. This combination of rigorous psychological training and real-world experience gives her work both depth and accessibility.
Today, she is recognised as a leading voice in attachment-focused parenting, supporting parents, educators, and organisations to raise emotionally resilient, deeply connected young people.
